"Denim" Dyed Eggs

As I've stated in an earlier post, the amount of ways to Dye Easter Eggs seems unlimited, but I stumbled across a way that I found to be so beautiful, easy, and original ; Denim Dye! For those of you who have the design aesthetic of Earthy, soft, and hip, this project is for you!

Supplies:

-White Eggs

-Grape Juice

-Vinegar

-Bowl

Instructions:

Step 1: Hard Boil desired amount of eggs and let cool.

Step 2: In a large bowl, Mix equal parts Grape Juice and Vinegar to completely cover the height of an egg.

Step 3: Gently place eggs into you dye solution and let sit for 12-16 hours or until desired pigment is achieved.

Step 4: After letting eggs soak, gently remove eggs 1 at a time and softly pat dry the film that covers them. You wanna make sure to pat dry as opposed to wipe off. If you wipe the eggs you will brush away the spattered pattern created by the chemical reaction.

Most people eat their Dyed Eggs after making them, but I suggested disposing of these ones after the holiday. Remember these eggs have been soaked in a lot of vinegar and have softend from the process.
